12th Street / 3rd Avenue. The fireplaces are homes for the pigeons, but the paint and wallpaper remain the same. I stood in the parking lot, taking these photos; the East Indian attendant came out. “Every day people are taking pictures. Every day, more pictures. I don’t understand. Why? What is to see?” I couldn’t make him understand, it’s always what’s inside that really counts.
